Search professionals, like the team here at Ph.Creative, understand that rich snippets are vital for our SEM (Search Engine Marketing) campaigns as it allows us to highlight important information to the search engine and increase the CTR, click-through rate which is the number of people who click onto your site after seeing it in the search engine as a percentage, by displaying this information. But can the use of this rich snippets go wrong and is it open to abuse?

Recently computer chain PC World were on the wrong end of a Schema based mishap when the logo being displayed in the SERPs on their company profile included the text “Like hell, but with worse customer service” instead of the usual “The Computer Superstore”
