Kingsbury Ocean Racing

Posted by Candice, 15/04/2011

The team at Ph.HQ were utterly intrigued when Adrian Kingsbury came to us to discuss a website for his fundraising challenge. A down to Earth, all-round nice guy, we by no means anticipated the story he was about to tell.

He had never sailed before in his life and was about to embark on a 40,000 mile journey, circumnavigating the world in one of the longest yacht races in history! We were instantly captivated by the challenge Adrian was about to face, the passion he exuded, and the sacrifices he has made in leaving behind his friends, lifestyle and the stability of a successful career.

Whilst discussing the development of a website to promote Adrian’s challenge, the Ph.Creative team acquired a real personal interest in what he was about to undertake, and immediately realised the massive potential to develop a full online estate to document his journey, and provide him with full support throughout. To date, it has been nothing but an absolute pleasure and an extremely exciting project to be part of.

Adrian is an exceptional guy. Tenacious and dauntless, he has thoroughly considered every aspect of what he wants to achieve and how he’ll go about it. Ph.Creative are confident that he’ll stop at nothing until he gets there! We are extremely proud to be in partnership with him!

Whilst Adrian has been in training we have been cracking on with the site and here is the finished result www.kingsburyoceanracing.com We will be right behind him every step of the way… and the first to buy him a pint once he crosses the finish line!

Entrepreneurial spirit is strong in the city

Posted by Luke, 05/04/2011

Ph.Creative's Bryan Adams recently attended a round table event with the minister for business and enterprise at the Liverpool town hall, in order to demonstrate that entrepreneurial spirit in Liverpool is strong despite the recession.

Bryan and the other attendees, including Liverpool Vision and the operators of the BT Convention Centre, amongst many others, aimed to encourage Mark Prisk, minister for business and enterprise, to see the value in investing in entrepreneurs in the city.

The event was entitled How Liverpool is Beating the Recession, it allowed Prisk to hear the entrepreneurial success stories of senior people from St Helens Chamber, Liverpool Vision, law firm DWF, social enterprise the FRC Group, operators of the BT Convention Centre and us.

The minister clearly enjoyed this upbeat session and promised to visit the Liverpool Embassy in London to learn more about best practice in the city. As he told his audience at the conference, while there will hopefully be better economic news around the corner, it is not government that creates wealth, but entrepreneurs.
